Privacy policy
This policy explains what GiggleLoot collects when you visit giggleloot.com or place an order, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We sell toys; we do not sell data.
What we collect
- Order information — name, email, shipping address, phone number and what you bought. We need this to ship the parcel and to email you about it.
- Payment information — handled by Shopify Payments and the card networks. Your full card number never reaches us and we cannot see it.
- Device information — IP address, browser, pages viewed and how you reached the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Anything you write to us — support emails, contact form messages and chat messages, kept so we can answer you.
Why we use it
- To take payment, ship your order and handle returns.
- To answer your questions and resolve problems with an order.
- To detect fraudulent orders and protect the store.
- To measure which pages and adverts work, and to show adverts on Meta platforms.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that make the shop work, and only with what they need: Shopify (store platform and payments), the carriers that deliver your parcel, our fulfilment partners, Meta for advertising measurement, and the provider of our on-site chat assistant. We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the advertising cookies described here.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies that keep your cart working and remember your preferences, plus analytics and advertising cookies from Shopify and Meta. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout need their own cookies to function. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends one.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents may also ask what we have disclosed and may opt out of the sharing of personal information for advertising. Email support@giggleloot.com and we will act within 45 days. We will never charge you or treat you differently for asking.
Children
We sell toys for children, but the shop is for grown-ups. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently seven years. Support messages are kept for two years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and payments are processed on Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password if you create an account.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date below. Material changes will also be announced on the site.
